Pick a Charity or Organization and try EFT 1 month ago

My church just notified me that they have EFT (Electronic Drafts) for donations given to the church. I’m thinking about auto drafting from my savings each month a set amount to give to my church. Often when I rely on last minute offerings, I sometimes am caught off guard with an empty wallet or less money than I usually give. An automatic draft may make things more reliable and giving more consistent. Plus it makes stewardship an integrated part of my monthly budget.

Give What You Can 2 months ago

Certainly most of us do not make enough money to be writing checks for millions (or even thousands) of dollars, but philanthropy and stewardship does not begin with accounts that end in multiple zeroes. It begins with giving regularly… and earnestly.

Make a goal for yourself to set aside the same amount each month and divide it up between the various causes that you wish to support. You can even set aside a wild-card category in case you find a worthy recipient for a one-time donation of gift.

Remember, the impact of REGULAR giving is even more huge than one-time lumps of generosity.

“What we do is nothing but a drop in the ocean, but if we didn’t do it, the ocean would be one drop less.”
- Mother Teresa

Don’t put down your generosity because of its amount. If all of us were contributing our proverbial “drop” the impact would be a flood of help for all of humanity.

Surprised 7 months ago

I’m surprised that this one hasn’t made it anywhere on the charts… it looks like I’m the only one with a goal like this…??? Anyways, it’s a lifelong dream to live my life as a good steward of the wealth that God has entrusted to me. This means giving regularly to charity, organizations and people in need. Whether it is a gift my time (volunteering) or monetary assistance, I want to be able to give and give regularly to the causes that are dearly in need.
