I’ve done pretty well with this, lately, with one exception: taking the cat to the vet. He’s elderly, so I take him to a holistic vet for acupuncture every four weeks, and today, like all the months before, I ended up leaving the house 10-12 minutes later than I planned. The problem is that leaving later usually works out just fine, so I haven’t been motivated to make sure I left on time. Today, driving over to the vet’s office, I told my cat that if we didn’t leave on time next month, we’d request a later appointment, for 2 instead of 1:30. Well, whaddya know—four weeks from today the vet won’t be available until 2. Think it’s a sign?

This is *so* me! 3 years ago

I do this all the time! And it either makes me actually late, or completely stressed out about getting out the door—or both. But to show that 43T is not just about me procrastinating, yesterday, when getting ready to go out, I kept thinking about this goal. And when tempted to do “one more thing,” I’d ask myself whether that “one more thing” was going to help me get out the door. If not, I didn’t do it. And I actually left the house on time!
