I have two children, my frst by cesarean section and the second v-bac. I was not happy with either of my birthing experiences, the first one being horrible. Since the birth of my first son I was interested in home births and midwifery, but decided against it because I was attempting a v-bac for my second son. If I have a third child I will definitly go with a midwife and doula. I watched the documentery “The business of being born” by Rikki Lake and realized that this field is vanishing from our society. Being a woman that trusts what my body was designed to do I would like to be a part of this indusrty. 3 years ago
I’ve joined DONA and have received the certification kit. I’ve gotten 6 of the required reading books from Ebay, and have started reading “The Vital Touch” – amazing book. 5 years ago
