Want to see a Broadway show
How I did it: I didn't actually see a show on Broadway, but I saw a London West End production of Wicked when I was on vacation in England this year. I'm counting it as one of my 43 Things, though, because the quality of productions in the West End seems on the same level as Broadway. I just made it a priority to see a show while I was there. How I did it: Okay the reason it took my so long is because I went with a theater classmate of mine. I went to see "Jelly's Last Jam" the star performer was Gregory Hines!!!! I knew him from the movie "White Nights" and loved his tap routine. Read how I did it…

How I did it: I signed up for a class on New York City Musicals and Culture. From that and about 5,000 later I saw 7 musicals and gained 3 credits toward my degree. I saw, West Side Story, South Pacific, Mary Poppins, Billy Elliot, In the Heights, Wicked, Guy's and Dolls! I must say it was worth doing. New York City was friendly, the food was fantastic and the experience was worth having. Read how I did it…

How I did it: I live in New York. The first broadway show I saw was in High School. We group of us from the theater department got together to see "Starlight Express". It was about a train and people were parts of that train and everybody was zooming around stage in roller skates. I brought the sound track. I thought it was good.Next show I saw was "Cats". My friend took me on an unofficial date. He said that h… Read how I did it…
How I did it: New York city, 05-04-08walking down Broadway and some dude handed us tickets to see jersey boys. the funny part was that he told us he will be going to the play with us. almost like he was asking us out on a date. anyway we did end up going and he showed up late (the guy that gave us free tickets). and then we left during half time. its not called half time at a play is it. hahahbut it was enjoyable for the first halfgood play Read how I did it…

I signed up for a New York Musical theatre class :D So for 10 days I will be watching not just one broadway show but several :D So after my group study class I can and I will officially say that I’ve seen a Broadway show :D Whoo hoo.
I saw The Phantom of the Opera when I was in New York in September. It was amazing.
savvybee is ready for church.
I’ve seen Wicked, The Producers, Hairspray, and Rent… plenty of Broadway shows… the hard part is getting New York City into this equation. All of the shows I’ve seen were touring shows that came close to home, except for Wicked—which I saw when I went to Chicago with my uncle and his family.
These little town blues…
:D
I adore musicals. Seriously I’m obsessed, but I don’t live in a place where really good musicals come often at home I’ve seen:
-Beauty and the Beast
-Fame
-The Lion King
-Momma Mia
-We will Rock You
Which were all great but don’t even begin to compare to Broadway. I saw two with my dad two summers ago and they were FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC, I was in complete awe. This past summer I saw one with my mom which was also AMAZING.
On Broadway I’ve Seen
-Spamalot
-Wicked
-Spring Awakening
And in April my schools art dept. is having a New York trip and while were there were going to see two more, although one might be a play or off broadway.
So I’m MEGA excited about that.
Ashley has the munchies.
I went and saw the Rockettes, does that count? Probably not, so I’m just going to leave this on my list.
misslady1031 is thinking Im awesome!
lived in ny all my life and have yet to do this… plus i have the advantage of getting discounted tickets to the lion king (which I really wanna see) due to the fact that when my friend was 11 or 12 she played Nala on the Lion King… that musta been a cool experience… wish I coulda done something like that.
jenuine please take a moment and read my entry to goal#1!
Now I’ve seen three shows on Broadway! :)
They include:
Phantom of the Opera (2006)
Spamalot (2008)
In The Heights (2008)
In the Heights is amazing!!!!! I got to see it with the original cast, which is so cool. I think it’s a great story, and it’s funny, romantic, lively…I adore it.
Total disappointment. The show was bad. But hey, now I’ve done it;.
