I guess I will have to wait 23 months ago

until next fall to register for some classes. The second semester of the school year has already started.

I took one out 2 years ago

    I took out “international politics.”

Formerly, I was of the belief that politics (in the abstract and in the practice) wouldn’t rub me so raw if I only understood them better. But I’ve begun to realize that politics and I are like oil and water, and the more I try to adhere to politics, the more my soul scatters and dissipates. I feel more and more lately that politics are inherently hierarchical, and hierarchy is something very abrasive to me indeed.

My belief system, I have discovered, is a certain brand of what people have labeled “post-left anarchy”. Specifically, I agree with many of the claims made by self-identified “anarcho-primitivists”, although I don’t know if I identify as one myself. Political parties really have no bearing on my goals. Particularly, I am interested in “rewilding” (which I might define here later, but right now I don’t feel like it).

    An omen 2 years ago

Today in the mail I received a course catalog from Seattle Central Community College.

Here are some of the classes that look interesting…

    In the studio art department
    Introduction to printmaking
Introduction to professional woodworking (technically a “wood construction” class, not studio art)

    In the psych department
    Psychology of gender
    Developmental psych

    In the political science dept
    International relations (duh)
Government and politics of the Middle East

    In physiology
Survey of human anatomy & physiology

    WHAT TO CHOOSE??

If I were still in college, 2 years ago
