Love too... 21 months ago

Anne of Green Gables is one of my favourite books and i love the movies. Being a red head myself i understand the ‘torture’ Anne went through with her hair! Would be amazing to go to PEI and pretend to be Anne :)

I live in Cape Breton and have never travelled to P.E.I, hopefully soon.

Again - not giving up 2 years ago

But as this won’t be done for at least 10 years, am moving it to the 100 Things to Do Before I Die List.

In Dreams 3 years ago

This is definetly something I have wanted to do all of my life. My sister and I would like to go to Price Edward Island during the Anne of Green Gables festival they put on each year. We are determined to do it some day, and I really hope we follow through!

I’d like to imitate the Anne scene where she does the Lady of Shallot along the river, with the handsome rescuer too of course!

Waterfall Nymph finding dustballs everywhere!

The plan 3 years ago

My mom named me after Anne.
I think I’ve probably read the whole series 6 times. (My favorite is still Anne of the Island. Why was my college experience not like that?)
And now I have red hair too….

So my mom and I will do this together probably in 10 years – whenever she stops climbing mountains and reaches an age for more sedate travel. We will stroll, sit, and have raptures – and probably reread all the books 1 more time.

My Anne of Green Gables Story 3 years ago

Actually, I pretend that I’m Anne Shirley more than I should admit—but we’re all kindred spirits here, right???

My Great Grandmother loaned me her copy of Anne the summer after 3rd grade. But, it’s a rather difficult book for a third grader to read. (I gave up after a few pages).

In fifth grade, I saw the Ken Sullivan production on PBS, and then devoured the book. (Quite honestly, it was still above my reading level, but I knew enough of the story line to get by!) Great Gram loved that book, and she didn’t talk to any of her other great grandkids about Anne – just me! It was our special thing.
