Travel the length of the Mississippi River on a boat/barge.

to find a boat that I can afford and sleep in, take a friend with me, and travel the entire Mississippi River.

maybe many years from now after I retire?

We are thinking of traveling the scenic mississippi river road on bicycles. We would like to take river transport as part of this trip. We also thought of traveling up the Ohio on river transport. We are not into gambling river boats. Any info would be helpful.

I want to get a houseboat and travel the entire length of the Mississippi River, maybe some offshoots as well. Currently saving and looking for a houseboat. I am also working out a ramp device so I can bring my motorbike with me for land exploration.

Don’t really want to travel on a ‘riverboat’; I would much prefer to travel on a tow/barge.
