... and probably killed a tree in the process haha. But now I feel one step closer to graduating! I still have an oral commentary, an interactive presentation, the TOK essay and a couple of IAs left though. But after that its the mocks and then the dreaded final exams! scary…
How to get through IB
How I did it: I feel great now that I've finished, but the process was hell. Honestly, I don't think it was worth it for me. I got into all of my colleges, but I couldn't afford to go to them, so I'm staying in state. I think that if I'd taken a couple AP classes instead I would have had a much better experience. That being said, the friendships that I formed in IB are some of the best I've ever had. I guess our shared misery brought us together like nothing else could have. I got a good education, but I feel like I put myself under way too much stress when I should have been enjoying my high school years. Oh well... considering the college I'm going to, I'll be able to make up for lost time next year. Party school! :)
Lessons & tips: Procrastination kills. You will feel so much better if you just do your work on time. (I never followed this advice.)

it was good, i felt balanced.
i think setting up a goal really motivates me and writing about it is good too.
i always seeked to satisfy everyone and i’m a perfectionist so this is good for me.
woot.
gotta keep it going.

i have been in IB for two months already? wow sure goes fast. the problem is, i’m starting to procrastinate. it’s so addicting i swear.
well i have analyzed the problem, procrastination.
i need to cure this procrastination problem. i can do it.
My world lit draft is due on friday, the final draft is due in two weeks. My economics IA is due next week, the day after a biology test. My EE labs are going to hell and I’ve got no usable data after almost 30 hours labbing so now I’ve got to change topics and start all over again. I’ve got lab reports, written tasks, oral commentaries, tok presentation and essay deadlines coming up. Then I’ve got to take university entrence exams. I also have less than a month to suck up to my teachers so they predict me good grades that I can apply to university with. At the same time I have to revise and catch up in all my subjects for testweek which is in less than two months. The third year of IB really is hell.
I hope this will be okay. Can anybody tell me how it is to take Eco to count for both social studies and history subjects so that I can take two arts? (In my case Theater and Visual arts). I’ve heard TA is a TON of work but worth it, and that you learn a lot. I’m also taking Math Studies SL. It’s kind of freaking me out how IB students are always pulling all-nighters and stuff, is it really that bad? I don’t think I’ve picked a difficult course selection. My HLs are all in things I’m good at; English and the arts.
I’m soooooo glad. It wasn’t even that hard though.
Most of the classes are Honors, such as math and biology. The only main difference is that you do more projects, are more interactive, and study higher level material in English. They also add on extra classes, such as a Life Management class and other ones that seem suited for pre-IB students.
So, I’m planning on sticking it through till senior year! Next year I’ll be taking Journalism 2 (easy class) and AP Pyschology, along with the required AP World History (ugh).
And it goes by the name of “IB”.
I hate this so very, very much.
Only 44 days until my last exam! Off to study MORE!
brady09 is contemplating life
