To become a music teacher in my home, I am going to get
1. My grade 10 voice (RCM)
2. My ARCT (RCM)
3. My grade 6 piano (RCM)
How I did it: I taught at a camp over the summer - a great group of kids. I worked with three private students and larger groups. I didn't realize that I had actually become a MUSIC TEACHER by doing so (until today). But I had. I had gone to this music and dance school before I went to college and they contacted me about teaching.
Lessons & tips: Go to the places and people who trained you. They will probably help you. If not, you can put up flyers and such to advertise your services, or do so online if you're more technologically inclined.

Hi-
I am looking into going back to school to teach music. I love music, have played for a little while now but believe I need some more experience. I look forward to learning from some of you!
Thanks
I’m a newly qualified Secondary (high school) music teacher. It is one of the most amazing jobs you could ever aspire to, when it works.
When the you click with the students and get them to understand an abstract musical idea it can feel really amazing, but when you teach the more difficult people it can get a little tiring. But it is well worth doing.
If anyone needs any info about training to teach in the UK im more than willing to help.
Lemme tell you guys a story…
North Carolina is trying to take the Fine Arts requirement off of the graduation list. By doing this, they will be come one of the three to five states IN THE NATION without this requirement.
This puts me out of a future job.
Let’s just say that if they try to do that, I will have a lot to say.
