I think it’s worth it. I’ve been with the company for a year, and while I was tired of it for a bit, I’ve learned to love it again. There is more than enough to keep yourself busy at Starbucks: Coffee passport, tea passport, coffee master, learning coach classes, etc – you’ll always have a project to work on.
Things you may not realize about working here:
You have to be tolerant of difficult customers.
You MUST be able to multi-task.
You will always be working as a team.
You’ll never want to pay full price for coffee again.
It’s also important to remember that people often don’t want to go to their place of work in their downtime, so if you spend a lot of time at Starbucks as it is – you could very well lose your hangout spot.

hate to be the bearer of bad news…
not so worth it. Starbucks is a great place to visit, but tends to attract the (how do I put this…) more specific folk. Good luck though

I like the idea of hanging out in a place where people come to relax all day.
I would like to learn all the lingo and recipes so that I can serve people with their perfect drink. The idea of turning a request into a satisfied customer quickly and repeatedly would be a lot more satisfying than my current job – with vague and unstaisfying deliverables, where I never see the customer.
I still prefer tea to coffee though ;-)
