do some work for Habitat for Humanity

Over winter break I went on a week-long trip to Questa, NM with nine others from my school’s chapter of Habitat. We did a lot of work on a house for a woman (who we got to meet) and her two teenage daughters, and it was an incredibly rewarding experience. I’d done four trips like this before, but this was the first one working with Habitat. Made me never want to do a winter trip again, because we were frozen every day, but New Mexico was gorgeous and I had a great time. Even celebrated my 21st birthday at a little bar in Questa – hangin’ with the locals!
