I need to purchase 100 to 200, small pieces of the wall, not mounted on a plaque.
Thank you.

For an unreconstructed Hippy such as myself, owning a piece of the Berlin Wall might seem incongruous to some, however, loving freedom is not without precedent within the surreal domain of Hippydom. A friend of mine was stationed in Berlin, Germany at the time the Berlin Wall was being opened, and taking bits as souvenirs was common. He and his wife chipped of a bag of fragments: I was gifted one with red, white and blue paint on it from graffiti art. The chunks were taken from a spot close to the famous or infamous, Check Point Charlie. I have saved it, with a testimonial letter from my friend, and have it framed in my office. I am happy that it is in pieces.
It is too bad our country failed to learn the lesson about walls built on borders to keep people in or out. Berlin Wall
I visited my then-girlfriend in Berlin in December 1996;
what a fascinating city to spend a couple of weeks, but what stood out was how much change people can experience in a lifetime. The fall of the wall and reunification appeared to me like a brilliant demonstration of how clearly hope can rise as fast as it can fade, and I was fortunate to be staying with the local family who could take me to the outlying places where the wall was still crumbling and you could see the stark contrast of wooded area to imposing wall. of course out of tourist generosity i also purchased a token jar of pebbles from the potsdammer platz visitors’ center. i keep them on the mantle of my hearth and always will.
