I practice qigong on a weekly basis and would like to practice daily. Discipline, discipline, discipline. I think it is interesting how easy it is give up a daily regimen when things are going well. It is so much harder getting back into to it as well.

I do it twice a day. If I am busy, I practice once in 2 days. I practice the 8 brocade (Ba Duan jing) and some Taiji movements. I also do the bone breathing. For neigong I do dantian breathing, small circulation/microcosmic orbit and love meditation. On top of that, I meditate. I recommend Qigong books written by Yang Jwing Ming and Paul Brecher. Qigong is my most important daily activity other than eating.

I’ve been practicing daily. Started learning 8 years ago.
The epiphany – finding “my” teacher, and subsequently having a miraculous healing experience. Very motivating. Even if it’s only 5-10 minutes, I practice every day. Of course I try to practice longer, but the important thing, is to do it every day, it affects the most change. And prepares you for more intense experiences: like practicing with others during classes or retreats.
When I feel the best about my practice, when I’ve done all of the following in one session:
shaking,
practiced a form 3 or 9 times,
then sitting meditation with chanting
closing, “harvesting”
I’ve been practicing shaolin qigong on and off since last year with a couple of friends.I was very lucky this summer to find a great sifu. My aim is to practice at least 2-3 hours daily but at the moment I am not reaching my target. I need to get organized and find that time. Isn’t it funny that it’s easier to find time for silly things like surfing the net? Qigong does me good, so I just need to put it higher in my priorities list and be harder on myself.
