buy a wind turbine

I would like to achieve my goal of alternative energy by purchasing a wind turbine for my home. One of my other goals is to build an eco home. Hopefully when that goal is completed i can produce it’s power with the wind turbine. My ultimate wind goal is to have a small wind farm in my back yard to not only power my home , but feed it back to grid or to other homes in the neighborhood!

NOTE: my other goals include going solar, and building an eco home

I’ll need to buy (or build) a house to attach it to.

Of course energy efficiency is better than energy generation, so insulation and energy efficient appliances come higher up the list of priorities.

I’m pretty concerned about our rapid consumption of fossil fuels – I reckon my daughter will see the effective end of the oil supply and that it won’t be pretty.
