An Old Experience 10 months ago

I’m going to count an old relationship. This thing has been on my list forever and I’m looking to start clearing it of goals.

    Hmmm 2 years ago

I’ve known I was polyamorous for sometime. The only thing is, not a lot of people are open to the idea.

Therefore, one of my goals is to find loving, accepting, polyamorous partners. C:

I have no life... 2 years ago

I was sitting around this afternoon when it dawned on me that there wasn’t a Polyandry Pride flag as far as I knew. I knew of the Gay Pride flag, Bi Pride flag, Polyamory Pride flag, etc. but nothing for Polyandry.

“Hey!” I thought to myself, “Polyandrous people are people too! We exist and everything!”

(The above is also known as a rapid fire brain fart…anyway!)

So I decided to crack open the evil that is MSPain(t) and fiddle around with a design. This is the end result. I am so sorry…

Relationships and Gender Stereotypes 3 years ago

This one is rather amusing for me on some levels because of my past experience in reactions from others about it. I had joined up with a site that was ‘open’ to the idea of poly relationships but when I put down that I was more interested in meeting guys, I got an e-mail from a really nice person saying that it wasn’t a ‘sex site’. Thankfully, it was all cleared up in the reply and I quite enjoyed my time there before I lost my account due to computer issues. :-(

The funny thing about it was that I wasn’t actually looking for ‘sex’. I have, for most of my life, been what is considered a Tomboy and very rarely have I gotten along with women unless they weren’t a million miles from me in social thought. I didn’t wear heels or play with makeup and felt more comfortable with a chemistry set and engineering tools like Lego and Erector Sets than playing with dolls. I have no complaints beyond people who have (and in some cases still do) tried to force me into a gender stereotype that didn’t fit me at all.

While I am Bisexual and am open to a loving relationship irregardless of the gender composition, the ideal in my head seems to be a polyandrous situation. Dunno why. That’s just whats there and whats been there for a very long time.

The thing I don’t get about it is why is it considered normal for a guy to want two or more wives/girlfriends but a woman can’t have a parallel ideal without being thought of as things considered bad by society?
