Become a hairdresser

I started back to school finally. I switched to the Paul Mitchell school and I love my new school!

I LOVE hairdressing . i have been complete the certificateIII 3 months ago .but still can find a part time job not even than an apprentice. I am so lose now

i’m almost at the halfway point but i feel the need to take a break. right now i need to focus on my health because i’ve been spreading myself to thin to the point of making myself physically sick. i’m going to take a few months to change my eating habits and start working out, meditaing, yoga, controlling my depression etc… and then i will resume my goal.

i became a hairdresser always thought it would be an enjoyable job. i loved my training, thought this would be the career for me but not so! Hairdressing is completely different as soon as ur not a student anymore! beware it is difficult, not the hairdressing necessarily, i’d say thats the easy part! the biggest thing to deal with is the pressure other hairdressers and boss’ put on u….oh n the clients. it wernt all that much fun 4 me so i left it! it was all just bout takin shotcuts, bitchin bout ppl ur supposed to be friends with n most of all, makin as much money as poss!
I still love doing ppls hair but i would never in a million years go near another salon!

my haircuts still need work, but i haven’t missed a day of school in almost a month. since i’m there all the time, they are actually giving me clients everyday! i’m finally getting the hang of guy haircuts and blending them properly

looking into hair school to enroll

since they changed the rules at school and allow us to make up work that we’ve missed i’ve been working hard to make up as much work as possible by the friday deadline. so far i’ve made up 4 theory grades and 2 practical grades. tomorrow i plan on making up the other 3 practical grades and a test. i’m pretty much doubling my gpa in two days! lol

i’m dropping out of school for a few months while i get my head together. if i don’t do this now i’ll eventually be kicked out. i just don’t have this in me right now.

i’ve been going to school more lately and the haircutting is finally starting to click. i need to just be more confident in my ability and go for it!

i’m about 25% done with hair school and i’m doing ok. i realized recently that i’m taking it too seriously and stopped having fun doing hair and it’s stiffled my creativity. i’m going to work on this over the next 450 hours i’m there
