Take My Kids Somewhere to Play in REAL Snow

Brought the kids and the dogs and had a blast. This was probably 10 years ago. Wow, they grow up fast.

Went for President’s week this year. Slushy snow up at Tahoe but the kids skied at Heavenly and loved it. Hardly enough to go sledding down by the lake though.

I am a single mom. I go to a single moms group at church. A trip to the snow was organized a couple of years ago by the singles fellowship in our church to bless the single moms with, and their children.

The ride was tiring but SO worth it to see the look on my young kids faces when they were playing in the snow. There were some men that helped with the kids. They all were enjoying acting like kids. We did not go anywhere where we would have to pay to play. We just stopped at a store. In the back by the dumpster was untouched snow and a snow covered slope. They enjoyed themselves for 30 or 40 minutes. It also started snowing before we started heading down off the mountain. The smiles on my kids faces are forever burned in my mind!

There is no way that I could have done this on my own. I am so grateful God set this up to happen for my children.

To cold, i live on the california central coast, and i have no desire to see snow again….....

I recommend doing this as long as it is a vacation and you can return home to Texas! Snow can be bone-chilling after while.
