Got my little guy from a local breeder just after I moved into my new apartment. He’s prickly and has a big attitude problem, which I love. haha
How to own an exotic pet
How I did it: We got a pair of sugar gliders, but after a year, we had to get rid of them. Really THINK about your life, where you'll be in 'x' years, and what kind of pet you'll want for a while. While sugar gliders are really neat pets, you can't relax with them like you can with a dog or cat or pig even. They're exotic pets. Uncuddly, and jumpy.
Lessons & tips: Buy a dog.
Resources: $750 and hours and hours building a cage.

I think a monkey would be nice. But when I was little (pretty much after seeing Alladin) I wanted a tiger soooo bad.
raised to be polite, not to suffer bullshit Life is too short to make just one decision
my boyfriend’s birthday gift to himself was smoky the chinchilla, who is the most bad ass little rodent i’ve ever encountered. he’s spoiled and fiesty and randomly snuggly and just about too cute for words. we’re already talking about getting a second one around christmas. i would love a house full of chinchillas because they really beyond fantastic. they’re not the easiest pets to have and they require a LOT of research, but smoky’s so very worth all the effort and money we’ve put into him.
