so I just took the closet doors off completely. Now I can see the mess, all the time, even when I’m laying in bed. I have a lot of black shirts, t-shirts, jeans and assorted tops. Only a very few printed things. I don’t have many clothes actually…I could get used to the organized chaos in there. Hm.

So I think I can achieve this goal but what I really want is to keep achieving it. As in, making simplicity a part of my life. I find there are just so many “things” around that I don’t really need. I like the idea that I read on this site about giving away one thing for every one new thing that I buy. It’s probably harder than it sounds…maybe it would make me buy fewer things.

An old boyfriend once told me that he liked the way I stacked my magazines nonchalantly on my wrought iron table like I was just about to pick them up any minute now. He said he was happy my house wasn’t perfectly clean cuz it meant I wasn’t trying to hide too much. So forgive me now for wanting to de-clutter, I’m not hiding any secret neuroses. I just have a hard time finding things!
I’ll start giving more things away- if anybody wants them!
