Adopt a pet

I wasn’t planning to adopt a pet until I got my own place but I ended up with Jasmine when my friends couldn’t keep her. They got her from the Human Society but couldn’t take care of her after their work schedules changed. They were going to take her back to the Human Society but I offered to take her. It’s been more of a burden than I expected but I’m not sorry I took her. I know she’s being taking care of and that’s what is important to me.

I have had this kitty since I was 10 yrs. old. When I moved out 6 years ago, my landlord wouldn’t let me have any pets. Ive moved through 3 apts. my new landlord is awesome! she lets us have cats. I figured that “Lucky” would have a good home with us! I’m sure lucky to have her!

Do hamsters count as adopting an animal?

I realized that adopting a puppy wasn’t a possible goal right now so I changed my goal slightly to adopting a pet. I think another kind of pet could make me just as happy. I’m thinking of mice right now. =)

but they are not allowed in my apartment building! So I have to move first =( Dogs are everything to me.

A few weeks ago, we adopted 2 kittens, Willow and Princess. They are SO absolutely adorable, and they are very loved! I’m so glad they’ve allowed us to be their family!

I adopted a pet fish from my Human Phys class. I loved it, but unfourtunately it had this mysterious illness. It died after nine months.

Well worth doing when you save a dog or cat from a shelter.

Adopting a pet is one of the best things you can do for yourself and for the animal. My husband and I have adopted both a cat and a dog in the last few years. Once we have a bigger place, we’ll be adopting more. Both of our pets are awesome, and we have the satisfaction of knowing we gave them a good home when no one else wanted them.
