I think wrecked this birthday wish? Like this car trying to squeeze through the other two, must be for a deodorant commercial, you know even if your this close your deodorant will protect you from embarrassing body odor, crush works 24 hours a day.

I am very late with this so my apologies, dearest Serenity. Life has a way of taking over, which I know you understand.

But today is the day I needed to do this. I finished off a project and sent it off yesterday. It has left today gloriously free—a chance to relax. My whole being feels like it is heaving a huge sigh of relief. I feel lighter.

I know that the goal says celebrating by doing fun and crazy things, but I think a day like today is more appropriate. It’s a slow sort of a day, the kind of day you let yourself sleep in and catch up on rest. It’s the kind of day you hang out washing on the line and soak up the sunshine. I think I may have a picnic lunch in my backyard, make time for looking at the sky. Soak up the serenity.

I haven’t heard from you in a little while, so I can only hope that things are going well and that you get a chance to have a day like today too. You deserve sunshine and peace because that’s what you bring to so many of us.

Let’s see, the 7th was Sunday… what fun and crazy thing did I do on Sunday?

You know what? I don’t even remember Sunday, which I’m going to take to mean I partook of many and various extraordinarily fun and crazy things, so many things, in fact, that my poor little brain can’t recall them.

I hope you had a great birthday (Okay, okay, I know you did. I saw that you spent it with your kids. Could there possibly be a better way to celebrate?) and may your year be full delights and surprises.

May this year bring to reality all your dreams. Thanks for another year with us, sharing your love and wisdom with each one of us. Good things happen to people with a golden heart and you do have one. Hugs and smooches ;)

^{Let’s see, the fun thing I did Sunday was take a walk through a gorgeous forest bog (photo above comes from there, but I didn’t take it), & the crazy thing was to eat a brownie-batter blizzard at DQ (a medium, which was too much chocolate even for me!). A great day!}

I did something crazy for your birthday, I traveled across the country by jet w/2 cats for carry-on baggage. Woot! Party! (yeah, don’t do this…)
