I apologize about the delay in my birthday message to you. I have been scarcely online (and I wanted to extend your birthday/feel good greetings throughout June :)

Karen, it’s been a delight to begin to get to know you on 43T. I find your posts so insightful and intelligent, full of enthusiasm, caring, and passion for finding your path and helping others find theirs. I have enjoyed sharing thoughts back and forth with you, and am greatly looking forward to cheering you as you follow your dreams.

I’m late. I hate it when I’m late too. I had the best of intentions of completing this on time, but then I got sent out on an ambulance call towards the end of my shift. When I got back I turned over the paramedic unit to the next guy, and headed off to the theatre to catch the final night of Star Trek which I’d been trying to catch all weekend but kept going out on ambulance calls. When I got home I fell quickly asleep having only gotten a couple hours of sleep the night before due to ambulance calls, completely not thinking about having to still write an entry here. I feel really bad about that too because Karen’s such a special person and I don’t want her to think I forgot all about her, even though I did. So I hope she’ll forgive me, and that she’ll accept these wishes for the coming year:

May she actively seek out ways to sweat daily and drink lots of water each day, because in so doing she’ll make progress toward losing those pounds and fitting into those skinny jeans. May she recognize the strength within herself to not have to be perfect and also to live without fear. And may she find a new job that will help her make progress on paying off her debt.

Thank you everyone for all of the wonderful birthday wishes. I am blown away by all of the love from my 43T friends. :)

I am so glad that we’ve met and keeping up with our goals together.
