stargaze more often

Almost every night this summer I’ve slept outside at this camp I’m at. Every night I have slept outside I have seen at least one shooting star. Stars are the bomb, sleeping under them is even more so, and that is the truth.

My husband and I were married in the month of August. We later learned that the Perseid meteor shower is usually visible during our anniversary. A few times in the past we have gotten up EARLY while it was still dark and then drove away from the city lights to watch the meteorites streak across the sky. Blink and you miss them! I can’t remember what year it was… pre 1998… we stopped counting after 67 of them. Then we had breakfast at IHOP, which was just opening up. I’m going to make an effort to go this year!
