Slightly Foxed is not being very productive
... and my first real Mother’s Day.
Life is good.
Slightly Foxed is not being very productive
Yesterday we not only got to see the baby (who is looking more and more human), we got to hear the heartbeat. Little arms and legs moving around.
So wonderful.
On April 11th at 9:48 a.m. Natalie Elise was born. She is absolutely perfect in every way. This is just the happiest day of my life.
Sorry it has been so long, but things have been total chaos here. First things first—my baby is absolutely wonderful. I have had 3 ultrasounds, including an echocardiogram, and everything is progressing perfectly. Her growth is right on target and everything.
Plus, this little “critter” is super active. I felt her kicking at 21 weeks and my husband actually felt her kick the day after Christmas at 25 weeks. From all of my preggo books, it is not uncommon for the mom to feel the baby at 27 weeks for the first time.
She definitely likes her space. All I need to do is put my hand on my tummy and give slight pressure and she karate chops/kicks it away from her. It is kind of funny. She seems to want to move all of the time.
We haven’t been able to tell the gender with great accuracy because of the movement, but I think it is a girl, so I use that pronoun. We will definitely be happy with a boy, too.
So far, so good. Thank you all for your positive thoughts! They are working. I will try to keep you better posted.

Yesterday I had an ultrasound and it was so completely and totally wonderful. My baby is doing tremendously well. It is a little wiggle worm! I am officially 16 weeks and 2 days now. Things are looking absolutely wonderful! I am much more relaxed now!
Well, we heard the heartbeat. It was so cool! It is beating at 165bpm. This Wednesday I am getting a level two ultrasound—I guess we may find out what sex the baby is. That is so cool. I will let ya’ll know!
