I realized that there wouldn’t be enough interest, especially since only about 7 people on here want to do it at all.
Oh well.

Map Guy in TX is ready for the weekend
No time to do this and then the people I would really want to meet would not show up.
That sounds rather pissy, but I will meet the ones I want to meet here and there….and by surprise.

Okay folks…This is what I know
most sf/f conventions are planned F-Sunday. They open Friday afternoon (although the committee putting them on is busy, busy, busy on Thursday and Friday a.m. People arrive on Friday afternoon if they can get off of work early. Convention runs through Sunday afternoon to give people a chance to get home.
Also, I got no gripe with Seattle, but one. It’s on the other side of the continent for me. If I’m a comin’ I’ll be in a plane for like 6 hours each way?
Kill two days.
I know both of you midwesterners are gonna be upset when I say this, and it negates the idea about getting the robots to come en masse or meeting them, but how about a “regional” sort of deal, or something midcontinent? Like Chicago or Omaha or Kansas City or… so everybody travels?
So, if I’m going to help host this thing I have to travel one day, spend a day doing set up on each end of it and then spend another day coming home.
Now you know why I asked Malc if I could come to the one they’re talking about putting together for Europe.
jkd
(Read more as there is a thread going there)
Ticking this one off in favour of “gather participants for the first 43T Europena meet up”
First I was alone … now I’m in a team … progress !!!
Des is slowly regaining her sanity (unfortunately?)
Who would be able to meet in Seattle?
I invited users to the tea ceremony on 5th.
In a rule of the tea ceremony, we have to pass a cup of dark adn bitter tea with all attendees.
We shared Japanese culture together.
I sometimes wonder how users are doing around the city of Tokyo.
How and why did they become involved with 43things? Not only the Japanese people but also people from different nationalities or different cultures get together…I think it would be wonderful.
I adopted this goal after I adopted Organize a conference for 43 people. In the interest of conslidating I’ll head on over to the other goal—feel free to joing me. One way or another we’ll get this done. It’s really a matter of when (and where). I think we’ve go the who part (all of us) down.
