Kat VanH is back and ready for action!
...and it has a dual purpose. It took my breath away when I saw it and immediately bought it. Its something I really want in my life, and I feel like I’m manifesting it with every stitch. I visualize my life in the scene, and try to evoke the feelings of being there in reality.
You could probably call it a spell. A very long term spell. Anyone who has done needlework can tell you, a project can take months, even years of everyday work.
There’s another reason I’m doing it. I was with my mother when I saw it and gasped in its direction. She immediately said that she was going to buy it and do it. I snatched it off the hook before she could. I’m the one who taught her how to do cross stitch in the first place. She has made it clear to anyone who will listen that she is the family cross stitcher, and no one else.
So I’m taking my hobby back, dammit. And I’ll enter it in the state fair without her knowing (prob next year, not enough time for this year).
Cross stitch is magickal in many ways. :)
