Today I have two new students coming. Gotta get the studio ready. I’ve been busy producing hundreds of Christmas ornaments for a fund-raiser at work and they are all over my studio.
I also have to deal with my bills. What does one do when one simply does not have enough money to pay everything? That’s rhetorical, of course.
Must wash the kitchen and laundry room floors and I want to bake something.

I’ve already run some errands with my daughter and the granbeanie, bought some groceries, planned tomorrow breakfast casserole, and seen inside their damaged house. It’s coming along. I still have to swim, which I’ll do sooner rather than later, I think. Dinner is on either my daughter or my SO if he gets home in time. And pots. I want to make pots. My right arm is really hurting, though, so I don’t know. I never know if I should rest it, push it, brace it, or what. Everyone tells me something different.

I’m at work now. Looking busy. I’ve already accomplished everything I set for myself to do this week. Except the personal stuff, of course. I need to swim. I need to put handles on the mugs I made yesterday. I need to run my kiln. I see a long lunch today.
Of course, I have to revise the newsletter. I’ve only worked on it for two months but it didn’t become real to anyone until I put a review copy in their hands. Then everyone freaks out, “change this” “include that” “delete this” – had anyone paid attention while I was asking them for information they might have saved me and them some trouble. I hate doing newsletters. But, hey, if it’s low priority for them, it is for me, too!
The kids will be home tomorrow so I need to tidy up a bit for them. I’ve let the animals have the run of the place while they were gone.

Not only do I want to do pottery today, I need to do pottery. This cold has depleted me physically and dealing with everything lately has drained me pretty well emotionally. Putting my hands in the earthy clay, planning projects, passing on my craft to others – it restores me.
This is all I have on my agenda for today. I hope it stays that way.

Yesterday I wrote the crisis management plan and filed the grant today I have to get back on track, map out the volunteer program, finish the newsletter, solicit some donations and get ready for the event on Saturday. All while I have a chest cold.

1) Call my friend who just lost her son and see if I can talk her into lunch or a movie.
2) Fire my first glaze firing in my new kiln.
3) Do whatever it takes to get un-stiff.

And I’ve already written a small grant, handled my correspondence,
done some laundry, loaded the DW and am preparing for a lunch with the editor of a local paper. After that I’ll try to bargain with a local store manager for a better price on the software I want to buy with the grant, buy some pill pockets for BJ, deposit some $$ in the old checking account and buy yet more flea bombs. This afternoon I’ll spray the yard for fleas (this year has been awful) and then relax a bit. Or play with the granbeanie.

Today I will probably spend the entire day at my organization, hopefully putting together the newsletter and beginning the grant. Next week I have to go for unnecessary “training” (read: form-signing, release-signing, BS) for 4 days that I really need to work on the grant as it’s due 9/9.
Later my daughter’s family will come for dinner. So I will have to tidy up a bit.

I’ve gone to the dentist
Lobbied for health care reform
Cleaned out my frig
Cleaned the cat box
Taken the car to the car wash
Paid my bills
Flea-treated my cat
Done 3 loads of laundry
Washed and flea-treat the dog
Vacuum rug
Pack
See the granbeanie
and I still have to:
Sweep floors
Color my hair
Put new sheets on the bed

Because I have to leave for a family visit on Wednesday I have a bit to do before then: take the cat back to the vet, visit my Congressman to lobby for health care reform, go to work, flea bomb the house (again!), unload my kiln, plus all the regular stuff.
