Kelly Brown is a bloggin' fool lately
Towards the end of Jan ‘09…Aaron and I drove out to Cali, the bay area to spend time with his family. Then we drove up to Sac for a night…then up to Lake Tahoe for his best buds wedding.
How I did it: Three friends and I hired a care in Montreal after planning a route around the lakes up to Quebec City and back. The trip took about four days and we stayed at a hostel and at the house of a friend of one the people I travelled with. We were able to see a really different view of Quebec other than the city we were used to, passing through mountains and forests on the road, crossing a frozen fjord by ferry and on one occasion having to dig the car out of waist high snow.
Lessons & tips: Planning beforehand was definately helpful, having organised a route and having the foresight to bring a snowshovel - which we were definately glad to have with us! However I still regretted not having a good pair of snowshoes, so I would recommend really thinking what you might need on your trip if you are planning on going anywhere a little unusual.

I wish to visit all 50 states. I might even plan it around each states food festivals which appear to be pretty awesome when shown on the Food Network lol.
Despite my road rage, I’ve always found driving very relaxing. There’s nothing I love more than getting behind the wheel and just going.
There’s nowhere in particular that I want to go. I think my ideal road trip would just driving and seeing what my friends and I stumble upon.
One day, I will do this.
kerreh is ruling with an iron fist.
save up some cash money, load up my close friends, and see everything we can.
bring loads of cameras, hoards of little debbies and 2 liter bottles of the Dew.
i have a feeling, that couple of months or so will be my happiest.
I’ve never gone somewhere, with just some cds and a good friend, not even necessarily knowing where – just going. There’s something that seems very life-changing about the idea.

I would love to go on a road trip with my friends, the people who are closest to me. Doesn’t matter where or when, just so long as it happens. I think I’d get some great memories out of it whether it ends up being a great idea or not.

Garin Wind is makin moves, or tryin to
Ever since my three best friends and I drove from New York to Detroit (and back) a couple of years ago, I’ve wanted to take a legitimate, no-bullshit, open-ended, open-minded, anything-fucking-goes Road Trip with a group of close friends. I think two to four people seems about right. Maybe there could be a theme to the trip – to our destinations, our activities, our overall concept. Or we could document the trip in some creative way – something artistic or even abstract. I’d like to have some underlying objectives and plans before taking off, but I’d also need to leave plenty of room for improvisation and impulse. I can’t help it! The notion of such a trip just appeals to my fundamentally nomadic nature.
