buy something I love without worrying about the price

Booked my vacation and I’m not going to freak out when the bill comes in…I need something to look foward to

My surround sound. I just have the DVD player and the Ipod Dock left to buy, plus some cables to hook everything up. Ultimately I’ll have the onkyo player, my PS2, Ipod Dock, Juliet, and other game systems running through this glorious sound system. I listened to Nine Inch Nails “The Downward Spiral” in DVD-Audio (a surround sound music format, ask me later) and had multiple joygasms. I have several SACD’s (the other surround sound music format) but I’ll need the onkyo player to hear those in all their glory. My family has said I’m silly for spending so much on this, but I don’t care. I love it, I want it, I have it. (almost)

I just ordered Cooks Illustrated The New Best Recipe: All-New Edition with 1,000 Recipes. I really think I’m going to like it. It will help me accomplish my goal of a new recipie per month, and I wanted it. And I don’t even feel guilty for buying it instead of trying to find it at the library. Well, maybe a little guilty, but I got over it quickly.

Last year I did this for the first time – didn’t have a place for it, but I just really liked this little angel figure. This weekend I found another one – so that’s 4 in my mini-collection.
