Learn Czech

My boyfriend is Slovak raised in the Czech Republic, he’s learning Spanish, so, I guess it’s only fair I try to learn a bit of Czech on my own, no?
We’ll see how that goes…

I commonly don’t have difficulty with languages, but this one is a lot more different, so, meh, I’ll give it a try and see if I get slightly better with time. It’s all about practice I suppose. Any help will be appreciated. grins

I’ve lived in Czech Republic for 10 months now, and I’m going home on Monday! Learning Czech was a slow process, but it seemed that I persistently made progress more through talking with people and learning from mistakes and corrections, than through my class or books.

Well, unexpectedly, I am moving to Prague, I got a job offer there so I guess this is something I need to do after all :)

....if you were born in Czech :D But now I am finding other languages and how difficult Czech language for foreigner is. I have enough trouble to learn English (at least as much as I want- which is really high level :), so I REALLY appreciate people who want to learn language of a dot in a map ;)))

Because this goal is sooooooooooo cool. Basically, if I achieve all my resolutions for 2008, my friend and I are going to Prague at the end of the year. So cool!!!

i want to learn czech before i move there to study

I simply LOVE this language.Not really far away from mine (polish) so I can understand czech people quite easily but still there is a lot of differences between and I want to learn it!
