I’m using Pimsleur’s Speak and Read Essential Czech on my ipod from the CDs I got from my public library. I put the images of the reading part into my ipod also. I love it. I don’t know where to find my exact set, but there are some other good Pimsleur sets on Amazon.com.

Heather_Feather is making a Life List!
My father has done extensive research on his background, and discovered a lot of Czech heritiage in his family. Our last name is Czech. He has documents (birth certificates and things like that) that he would like translated so he can continue researching geneology. He has said, “You like learning languages… wouldn’t it be neat if you could learn Czech and tell me what these papers say!” I shrugged, thinking yeah that’d be neat. But it wasn’t until I started thinking I’d like to visit Prague that the idea took hold. I have the Pimsleur Czech program (only the first 10 lessons, though, boo!) and I’m ready to get started!
I was looking into possible gap year destinations earlier this month, and came across a Czech language programme based in Prague.
Since I’m a langauge nut (Japanese/Italian) & plan on pursuing langauges at uni next year, I figured this was perfect for me.
I’ve started to learn the basics of the language, and I have to say, it’s by far the most difficult I’ve attempted to learn.
My name is Michal. I’m a czech guy from Prague, Czech Republic. If you want study czech I’ll help you and you can help me with my english language. Thanks Michal
I’ve lived in Czech Republic for 10 months now, and I’m going home on Monday! Learning Czech was a slow process, but it seemed that I persistently made progress more through talking with people and learning from mistakes and corrections, than through my class or books.
Well, unexpectedly, I am moving to Prague, I got a job offer there so I guess this is something I need to do after all :)
....if you were born in Czech :D But now I am finding other languages and how difficult Czech language for foreigner is. I have enough trouble to learn English (at least as much as I want- which is really high level :), so I REALLY appreciate people who want to learn language of a dot in a map ;)))
I would be happy to help…
My name is Dan and I am a Brazilian guy who loves learning languages. I would really like to learn Czech and I can speak/teach Portuguese, Spanish and French besides English.
Bye!
I simply LOVE this language. Not really far away from mine (polish) so I can understand czech people quite easily but still there is a lot of differences between and I want to learn it!

“Are books and CDs really worth the cost? I've heard that most people just forget about them after a few days and it's better to take classes or free courses on the internet”
