I learned the books in order last year in seminary, by putting it to a song, it made memorizing really easy.

I just want to learn how to memorize the books of the bible. My mom was taught a song, but now she doesn’t remember it all.

Stood up during service along with a dozen or so folks to recite the books in order in front of perhaps 1-2K people in the congregation. The pastor led us with a pretty fast cadence but I knew my books forward/backward since J helped quiz me for a few weeks leading up to that day.

I should do this again, I don’t know that I still remember all of them. It definetely helped to know this in church, I used to race with my girlfriends to see who could find a Bible text the fastest.

I went to a Christian school, and my 7th grade teacher taught us to memorize them by song. There was a song for the Old Testament, and one for the New Testament. I’ve never forgotten them since!
