Lessons & tips: OK GUYS YOU NEED TO READ THIS
1) YOU HAVE TO HAVE A STRICT WORKOUT ROUTINE.Mine was 12-2 at the Gym every day.
If you cant go to the Gym I recommend going to a gym and getting a personal workout schedule FOR YOUR HOME. Usually 30mins cardio (a run or bike ride) or a dance about .200 on ab workout, and some squats should do everything you need. but this needs to be done daily!. it will take no more than an hour of your day!
2)YOU NEED A DECENT DIET:
Some hot tips, if yo uhave to eat out try exchanging stuff like potatoes for brown carbs or vegys, and trust me vegys and stuff can be yummy if done properly. NOT ALL HEALTHY BALANCES HAVE TO BE SALAD SALAD SALAD. if you look at the size of your hand a quater of your hand should be vegs the other half carbs and the rest should be protein (chicken ect}) so getting a chicken, any meat is healthier than potatoes ect. It burns quicker in exercise. so dont cut down ur food per say but do exchange it over. and try boiling and oven cooking things rather than frying it. its amazing what you can do without frying! oh also cut down on bread intake and change over fully pasteurised milk for something less fatty (if you think milk is for baby cows to gain weight!).. Also try not to snack on too much, if you think thats inevitable it isnt, just try to eat three solid meals per day and u shouldnt get urges in between.
3)DO NOT STRESS ABOUT THE SCALES:
Yes it is true. you should be loosing weight but if it hasnt decreased greatly and u are doing you exercise it is because you are toning. without realising it you are turning fat into muscle, and fat weighs more! even if you think ur getting fatter or not loosing weight always keep in mind that you are loosing your fat and the stuff youw ant to loose but so long as you go by ur regime you are making muscle which is great!.. of course if u arent going by your routine its highly likely that that is just putting on the fat.
This is ALL YOU NEED. A Small Workout, A good Healthy diet (BUT IT CAN'T BE A DIET IT HAS TO BE A LIFESTYLE), And don't be obsesed with seeing fast speedy scale lowering measurements. if you are loosing too fast its more likely to be ripping at fat and muscle, and its crash dieting, u will put it on as quick as u loose it and you wont be healthy.

What are everyone’s tips? I REALY REALLY need to/want to lose weight but don’t know ho to start…?
I did it. And with 2 weeks to spare. I have lost 20lbs!!!! How exciting. Of course, I till have another 10-15 to go but hey, I’m 20lbs lighter. Yippee!!!
and now the goal is 10 pounds…I’m down 6 since I started this. I managed to work out pretty hard today. Have to, lot’s of fun parties to look forward to. 44 years old and still hot, that’s me, time to get back out there and have fun. The widow hat has been on toooooo long….3 years now. I need to come out of hibernation!
Ok, I’m still trying to get a handle on the weight thing. Holidays are soooo hard. It almost has to be abstinence for me just like when I quit drinking. No sweets, sugar is a bad bad thing for me. I just stepped on the scale. A big ugh. I’m back where I started a couple of weeks ago. Well, at least I stepped on the scale. Today is going to be a better day. Exercise, get out of the house, I’ve been feeling sorry for myself again. No more!
I’m still at that plateau. I have not lost a single lb in about 5 weeks. Nor have i lost any inches anywhere. So, I started an eating diary and have put myself on a more strict workout schedule. I suspect that I may have begun to slack without realizing it. So, here we go again. Wish me luck.
Hi,
It started back in May when I quit smoking, sure I was a little over weight then, but since then I have ballooned to a whopping 215 lbs. I feel good weighing in at 192.
My wife would like me to be 170
Maybe 185 would be a good goal for me.
I have tried the Atkins diet before and it worked, but it was not good for me, it caused some problems with my liver.
Not sure what to try now.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Suggestions would be greatfully appreciated.
Lost 4 pounds since I posted this. The good news is I’ve been eating, not starving…feeling a little better. The next 5 is going to be much harder but at least I’ll be on track to fit in some of my suits. I start my new job on Monday. Exercise, exercise….nothing else works for me.
