After all who controls the fashion magazines but the garment industry for which it is in its best interest to make sure to make things go out of fashion as quickly as possible to you are brainwashed into thinking that you need to replace your existing clothes before they wear out or no longer fit you. And extra credit to them if they can trick people into spending money in order to be told that they need to buy new clothes which more likely than not they do not really need.
