Okay, I want to let it go through the edit process and see the anthology actually published before I consider this done. But holy crap yes.
The second essay I wasn’t able to get done. Way too much going on.

Essay submitted to one of the anthologies. Edits are probably pending. Other essay still in the works, but the deadline was extended.
Was requested to submit an essay to one anthology and have found another I want to submit to as well, both with due dates in the next month. Make it happen, make it happen…

My contributor’s copies of Weber: The Contemporary West 24:1 came today! I guess they lag one behind the print copy on the issues they publish online. Ha!
I sent them that big-eyed goofy photo of myself that I’ve used here. LOL. Most of the other contributors are professors, etc., so I look decidedly…um… artsy?
What a nice way to end 2007!!!!

The galleys that the journal sent said “Fall 2007” on them, causing me to believe that my essay would be published in the Fall 2007 issue. But I just saw it online and it doesn’t include my essay. Either that or they didn’t include my essay in the online version, only in the print version.
I’m not sure what to hope for, but I was really looking forward to being able to mark that down as something I had done this year.

I just received the galleys from Weber Studies
I thought they weren’t going to publish it till next year, but at the bottom of the page it says Fall 2007!!! They’re also using my photographs, which is great and I think helped them move up the publication date because they didn’t have to go fishing around for appropriate images.
Whoo hoo!
