Oops. It deserved to be said... 6 months ago

...a long time ago, that I am now living in that city. The city whose map I lovingly placed in my Wish Box so long ago. I have lived here, in Porto Alegre, for more than a year. Over the course of these years (since I last wrote about this), I have taken things out of the Wish Box and added things to it – carefully.
In fact, I think it’s time I revisit the box, to align it with my current desires.
The Wish Box is a really wonderful tool. You should find yours.

My cousin (a beacon of light) told me about the “wish box” concept. She said to spend a little time seeking a small box that “felt right” and much more time adding to it pieces of my desires. She advised me to cut out pictures of my perfect kitchen from magazines, for example.

I found the perfect wish box quite coincidentally (or not) while visiting the city where my soul (not body) currently lives. Not being much of a cook, I have tenderly added that city’s map, a lovely yet humble condo I would like to buy there someday, flags, local currency, and other souvenirs… as well as little notes to myself about other aspirations that I have (in those reflective, “big-picture” moments – like coming home to a home I am thankful for, but not dreaming of, on Christmas night).

I love my wish box. I want to keep adding to it. Revising it. Remembering it.
