go to the Rennaissance Festival

I think that in order for a Rennaisance Fair to be worth it you have to be into that kind of thing. And not expecting something like a carnival. You have to go into it knowing that it’s dirty sweaty and all that just like it was back then. I’ve gone several times and desperately want to go back and would love to work at one, b/c I love to immerse my self in that time period. And if you get into it enough you can almost forget that you’re not. (and you want to talk about sweaty! Dress in period clothing!)

I went once in like 4th grade and thought it was the coolest. Then I went with a friend as like a sophomore in college, and realized, hey, this is a sweaty, expensive, not very entertaining place that doesn’t even have rides. At least the carnival has rides. This has the creepy carny-type people there, but none of the fun stuff. Save your money for something useful or at least entertaining.

I’m sorry, it just wasn’t all that great. Seems it was really all about buying a bunch of leather… although I did get a really cute rosebud hair-tie.
