The camping trip was a blast, and the girls all had huge grins on their faces through most of it. And just recently we had our first official girl scout meeting of the year, and I was in charge of the craft, and it was a mess. I was going to pre-cut these strings, and I’d spaced it, so that took longer, and I only managed to keep about half the girls’ attention at a time. That day, I forgot to check my cell phone messages, I had 5 fairly important ones, I was so busy with girl scouts, I forgot to pick up my youngest down the hall. Ahhhh! Just one of those days when I felt like I was letting everybody down.
On the up side, I just started a practice at a really nice wellness center, a cooperative of women. And I’m really excited! And I felt like my first appointment there went well, thoug I was late, ahhh!
And my youngest will be a Daisy, so I have to fit training in for that. 5 years ago

but definately worth it. I was an assistant for one year and a troop leader for 1 year. I loved it, but with my kids joining up for every sport and extracurricular activity they could think of, I didn’t go on to a 3rd year, because I just didn’t have the time! I may do it again when my youngest is old enough to join! 5 years ago

a few activities, and was going to lead a hike, but then my back went out. Not the usual stuff either, I think it’s a slight reaction to the patches, since some major back muscles are anesthetized most of the day, some of the other muscles (lats and teres) revolted, spasmed actually.
It all went on fine without me, and I’m glad about that. But it was really disapponting too, I hate feeling so unreliable, the following days I had to cancel a couple of playdates for the girls too. It’s so discouraging, and then I wonder if I should bother finishing the training, maybe it’s too much of a reach right now? 6 years ago

I’ve taken on a Daisy Gilr Scout troop with my mom as my co-leader. We had our first meeting last week and it was so much fun! 7 years ago
