Rescued a six-week-old kitten at 5am last week from my company parking lot! Ran under a moving vehicle, and eluded all of my co-workers…but came right to me!
All black with blue-grey eyes, and an awesome personality.
Vet gave him a clean bill of health the following day.
His name is Phoenix. :)

I found lil’ kitty 6 weeks ago, and we’ve celebrated several milestones since then…
Eyes opened, ears opened…
Him learning to use the litterbox (just went in one day, and that was that)...
Walking, running, climbing onto my bed, climbing up clothes (that are being worn)...
From accidentally tumbling down the stairs to hopping down the stairs…
Eating formula from a bowl, not a bottle.
I love my baby kitty.

One of the kids at the camp I work at is standing in front of the pool shed going “It’s a kitten!”. I happened to be right there – and sure enough, there was this little black kitten, a few days old, eyes not even open yet, crawling around. Long story short, I ended up with a chirping little newborn. Took it to the vet, bought some kitten formula and a little bottle, found out how to care for it, and now I don’t sleep anymore. He’s an eating and sleeping machine – just starting to barely crack open his eyes.
As rewarding as it is having a little kitty curl up against your neck and purr like a little motor… I can’t help but feel sometimes that I’m in way over my head. My family has been great with helping me out, though. Just trying to take it day-by-day.
I’ve got a lot on my plate.

the sole method by which a kitten could possibly win its way in to my heart. They are so cute when they’re all lost and alone in the big wide world.

Pip is one of my cats. When I found him, he was shivering and extremely small. He was the runt of the litter of a stray cat. He could fit into my hands easily.
Pip was not eating for a while, and I took him to the vet. He was treated for fleas and worms. I got medicine to give to him for about a month after I got home as well. He’s healthy now, and very playful. He’s grown quite a bit as well. Pip does terrorize my other cat Blur though.
