Start riding horses again

I used to ride a lot. I started when I was 9. I had my own horse at one point, but, like many of you, boys and parties got in the way. Now it’s just way too expensive and I don’t really have the time either, but one day I will have my own horse again!

I thought parties were way better, not so much boys. Going out with friends was the one thing i didn’t get to do when i was showing ponies. Fridays were spent getting ready to go to the show the next day. After riding from 4:30am – god only knows how late at night, there was NO WAY i was going out Saturday. Once i realized what i was missing, i ditched the ponies and started the parties. Now, all i want is my old way of life back. It was perfect and I didn’t realize. Now i’m older, fatter and way out of shape :(

Horses have always been my first love and I miss them so much. I was fortunate enough to be able to own and ride when I was a teenager, but then boys came along and I fell out of sync. I’m REALLY missing my horses now and hope that this will be the year that I get back into riding and just overall spending time with a horse or two. I’d really like to start training in dressage. Perhaps I’ll be able to afford a sweet old schooling horse in the next few years. Man, I can’t believe I could ever think that boys were better than horses! :)

I used to train horses and ride at least 3 horses a day. I owned 2 horses myself but I got out of it all to move. It was a great emotional and physical outlet for me. Now here I sit, the “horsewoman” of my town having not been on a horse in over 2 and a half years. I’m fat, I’m not happy….. I think its true what they say about the best thing for the inside of a woman is the outside of a horse.

I miss riding, I really do. I want to start jumping again, I went to the Grand Prix here in Bratislava last weekend and got to see a Slovenian horse jump 2 meters 5! I miss Jumping. I miss riding. I would like to start riding again. Sadly right now I don’t have the time and really don’t have the money.
