Done with the major part of this book that taught me verb types, conjugation, derivation, moods, verbal nouns, active and passive participle. Feel good. Now the rest is noun, noun sentences and compounds. Should be completing in a week or so. InshAllah.
How to finish "Arabic Verbs & Essentials of Grammar 2nd Ed"
How I did it: The book introduced the morphology and syntax concepts very systematically and beautifully. I had to practice the rules using Barron's 501 Arabic Verbs. Parallel reading and practice made it work.
Lessons & tips: Do not deep-dive into grammar before getting the essential concepts. Make a big picture, even a simplified one, before any exhaustive study of grammar is taken up. Practice a lot, otherwise the concepts that appear simple and intuitive, would fly away from the mind in no time.

This is a condensed yet a readable book. I stepped on chapter 15 today. The rules appear simple but will escape me if i dint drill. I am going to practice on Barrons’501 Arabic Verbs.
