Wife asked me last night, “when are we going to throw out the marshmallow experiment?”

To which I replied, “but it’s still working! And that’s not really the question. The question is, when are we going to lose interest in the marshmallow experiment enough to just throw it out…”

I’m not so sure.

My wife and I worked on the whole marshmallow thing a bit a few weeks ago. We batched up a homemade marshmallow mix, I fashioned an oversized cutter, we let it firm up and I tried to cut a few shapes out of it.

It didn’t really work, so the trial batch has been in the freezer ever since in some poor-man attempt to freeze dry it. Maybe we’ll take the cutter to it again after it gets super solid.

Does this look at least a little like a sword to anybody?

I want something that tastes like portabello mushrooms.
