I want to buy a surfboard and sail, because I just learned windsurfing. It has to be second hand though. I saw some good ads on places like ebay where you can buy a complete set for less then 100 euro’s. I do have to think this goal over for a couple of weeks though. I can be very enthousiastic and then buy something I won’t be using often. So first I should think about where I’m going to surf and how often and stuff (already figured part of that out). I’ll guess we’ll see if I go through with this in about a month ;).
How to buy a surfboard
How I did it: spent too much money...got the wrong board...but I know how to sell it on Craigslist and I know how to buy another one...probably epoxy or plain sanded finish...
Lessons & tips: don't go parabolic..they might be the one hit wonders of the surf world

k i didnt BUY it, but i HAVE one because gracie is an angel 0:)
i<3her. i have the board for the summer, maybe the semester!
I finally watched my Kim Hamrock video from my surf lesson a few years ago. Man I would love to get back out there. Riptides are dangerous around San Fran I heard. Not the best place for a beginner. Plus – well – Great White Sharks. But I will probably do it anyway.
Unless I hear that music as I paddle out…
Buy a used surfboard. They keep their value and they have a pretty good resale value.
I finally did it on Friday after work. Her name’s Jolene. I haven’t gotten a chance to take her out yet, but I’m sure I will one weekend soon…
Ok I surfed once. I had a lesson from a champion surfer, Kim Hammrock, and her son Chris when I was out in CA. And being that I am a child of Jaws I was a bit scared but I conquered the fear. And I loved it!!! I did pretty well for my first time although I need a few more lessons I think. And I need to improve my flexibilty. And I need a board. So step one: buy a cheap longboard off of ebay or craigslist.
