Murcia!! 1 year ago

Coming to spain to study is probably one of the best things I’ve ever done in my entire life. I came to the city of Murcia, its not very touristy, and its in the center of the main agricultural region of the country. Its such a fun city and eventhough I’m technically studying here, I don’t find myself doing much of that. Life here is so relaxed, the people are friendly, and the sun makes everybody happy. If anybody is planning to come here I would suggest going to a city or town that is not very well known or as much of a tourist attractions becuase you will have a better opportunity to study spainsh and live la vida espaƱola. You can always visit the popular tourist locations during one of the many long weekends you’ll have.

Good luck to all of those preparing to come to spain! Its a great place to be.

Just got the call! 1 year ago

Five minutes ago, someone from the program I applied for called me to say I’d been accepted!!!

The Summer Plan 1 year ago

Okay, so the conservatory business fell through. Apparently they aren’t “acredited institions of learning” blah blah blah. Well, that meant I would only be able to study during the summer (because a year without music classes would set me back that long in school).

Well! I found a really cool sounding program in Granada, Spain for 6 weeks where I can take a number of classes and a homestay, hooray! I sent in my application like a week ago, and am waiting to hear back, but I’m almost positive I’ll get in since I’m pretty fluent in Spanish and I make pretty good grades.

Now I’m planning my backpacking trip through Europe for after my classes are over. SUPER EXCITING!
