We joined and until this week were consistently working out 3 days a week. This week has been a wash so far (missed Monday and Wednesday), but we’re going today and probably tomorrow.

Pretty great.

I do think that my exercise routine is so early that missing even these 5-6 days has made a (negative) difference.

work out regularly  — 1 month ago

cellulite anyone?

Untitled  — 2 months ago

I’ve been working out at the local 24 Hour Fitness for the last few days on a 7-day pass. Sometime this weekend, my boyfriend and I are officially joining the gym: $29/month! cheaper than the cigarettes I don’t smoke anymore.

I love working out.

REFRESH!  — 3 months ago

Sometimes when I have a poor internet connection, some things on certain website just don’t work the way the should. They act really slow if they even work at all. But usually I can hit the refresh button and everything will work the way it’s supposed to.
If you’ve read my recent entries, or you’re at all close to me, you know that I’ve been dealing with a lot of stuff in the past few weeks and have had to break through a lot of hard things. Because all my attention and energy had to be focused on these things, I’ve been fasting a lot in the past few weeks. It hadn’t really affected me physically too much because I wasn’t taking part in much physical activity. But now, God is taking me to new grounds and doing a new thing. He has restored to me the joy of my salvation! It’s like He has breathed the breathe of new life into me! And because of all this, I now delight in the things that once made me happy! I can be active again and be happy!
But now, I’m realizing how much fasting has taken a tole on my body. I’m really really tired and feel really weak. The other day, I carried a cardboard and wood pillar that was about 8 1/2 feet tall and weighed only about 80 pounds. I carried it on my shoulder and only went down like 2 hallways and down a staircase. After I got done, I was super tired and felt really sick actually. I was shocked! It wasn’t hard work but it hurt to do it! I hadn’t realized how much fasting and lack of activity had so quickly taken a tole on my body.

But that was a few days ago and I’ve been eating well again and have been more active. Today, I even went to the Y. It actually sucks pretty bad, as far a equipment goes. There’s not much of it and the stuff they do have it pretty shoddy. BUT, they DO have a rock wall. It’s short and pretty lame, but there was a dude named Erin there who showed me how to make it fun and hard. There’s some sweet routs to dyno on and some crazy crimp climbs! It won’t be a very invigorating experience but it’ll help I guess. This Erin kid said he’s there every Wednesday and Saturday. I’m busy Wednesdays but free Saturdays so I think I’ll hit up the wall then so I can connect with him.

As far as all the other 6 days in the week go, I am determined to work out regularly in whatever way I can. Consistency is the key here! I just gotta do it! No fancy tricks or mind games, just do it!

suck  — 3 months ago

I’ve really been sucking at this. I don’t think I’ve actually worked out since I put this goal up here. I’ve been dealing with some pretty heavy stuff lately and haven’t been motivated at all to start this.
But, today I went to the Y and transfered my membership. So I will hopefully start going whenever I can.
I need to do this.

early to bed...  — 3 months ago

One of my roommates goes to the Y every morning before Masters. He usually gets there about 5:30. If I went with him, that would solve my problem of not having gas money and would start to solve my problem of not being a morning person. I won’t be able to go with him everyday because sometimes I can’t get to bed until at least midnight. So sometimes I’ll have to go in the evening.
I really want to start doing this on a regular basis, for reasons I’ve expressed in other entries.
I’ll probably start this next week.

Worked out 5 times this week. Still can’t check this goal off my list because I’m just not consistent!! It was hard to work out every day during the holidays…just too busy. But there’s no excuse now. I’ve got to get more serious about this!

Build up arms and get rid of little belly  — 4 months ago

I’m not overweight, but I look like a stick with a belly on it. Time to press up and sit up my way through the year. Running as well.

21 year old dude, workout routine  — 4 months ago

I’m trying to put a routine together to target some key muscle groups. Biceps, Back and Abs, Triceps, Chest and Legs, alternating days. I have kind of a flat butt, and I want to start working my glutes, but I don’t know any good exercises for that. Anyone know any? Preferably ones that won’t make me feel girlie while I’m doing them.
