Asterisk! Hope you had a great day and that the year ahead is filled with wonderful things!!

A little late, but hope you had a great birthday!

One of the hardest things for someone to do is maintain the changes that they’ve made in their life. I know for me it’s been easy to lose the weight, but hard to keep my focus on eating right every day (today was not a good day in that sense). Asterisk’s top goal is to do just this, maintain the good habits that she’s marked as done. I definitely see her doing this too. It’s this focus and self-awareness that has allowed her to accomplish so many of the goals she’s marked as complete, and I know that same drive will help her accomplish all her new goals too. Here are my wishes for her for the coming year:

May she continue to dwell on the positive, especially as she looks at herself and tries to accept herself for the way she is. May she actively listen both to herself and to those who are engaging her in conversation. And may she find ways to focus on the task at hand so that the bright screens aren’t necessary to fight procrastination.

Dear Asterisk, I hope you have a wonderful birthday today. How lucky you are to have a national celebration on your birthday. What a great party!
