How I did it: With a 9 kilo weight across my ankles and a thin cushion under my butt, I worked on sit-ups every day. At first I could only do 40 and my stomach muscles would cramp up. Each day I added a couple more before the cramps came. Then when I got to about 70, I wasn't cramping any more, just wearing out. At 100, I was feeling like I accomplished something, but I had to keep going. Little by lettle, my stomach muscles were getting stronger, and my number was growing. At four weeks I'd finally reached 200, but I wasn't finished. I kept adding more each day. I got to 500 a day and felt like Superman. I kept it there for a while, but I didn't feel tired after 500, so wanted to see how many I could handle. I remembered in middle school I once did 840, so set my sights on that. When I reached 800, I felt there was no stopping me. I kept going. It took me 70 minutes to hit 1000 sit-ups, and I stopped, not because I'd reached my limit, but because I got bored. I knew I could do more, maybe go on forever. All that was some time ago. I took a break for over a year and am starting over. I'm back at 100 and growing each day. I'll hit 200 in a few days. Looks like I’ve been pretty bad at doing my situps, might have to do this a little better. I’ve joined up with fitocracy, maybe that will help keep me going.. 21 months ago

How I did it: I was fit from before, so I started in the week 3 of the 200 sit ups program. When I take the supertest after the week 4 of the program... surprise! I did 203 sit ups.
It's boring as hell, I rather prefer another kind of workouts.

I have recently started running marathons and have been looking for some kind of program or guide to help me with core strengthening, not to mention help tone my tummy and wonderful love handles. Two hundred situps, bring it on! 1 year ago
