total my car

40 Days after I got my new car (That I was planning to pay off for the next 3 years), I totalled it. I don’t remember what caused the accident, but what I hear is that I went off the highway, hit a sign, flipped front over back and landed upside down. Injuries: Concussion, short term memory loss, and minor scrapes and bruises. It’s been about 2 weeks and my head still hurts and it’s hard to focus on things. Possibly have Post-Concussion syndrome?

but the truck I hit (a GMC) only got a 1/2 inch raise in his bumper. At least he was nice enough to give me a 3 hour ride to where I was going since he was going the same way too.

I ended up getting rid of the old car instead of totalling it, and I really don’t want to total the new one…

The light was GREEN! I dont care what the other guy says…

Totaled my first car 7/20/96. Walked away, but it was TOTALLY not worth it.

Very uncool to lose my car just six weeks after getting it, but other than being slightly hurt, the accident was kind of exciting. It was almost like being in an earthquake, or hearing the tornado sirens go off during a really wicked storm. Scary at the time, but it gives you a thrill to think about it afterwards.

I have done this twice. It is really a bitch!! Both times it was not my fault!

Not a recipe for fun. Like getting shot in the leg, not worth doing. I went into a 5’ ditch at 45mph in a Subaru Brat in ‘89, while on my way home from work. Bounced off of several smaller trees before encountering one large enough to bounce me out of the ditch.

Lost the camper shell after tree #1, flattened the passenger side of the cab on tree #2 or #3. Lost most of the glass in the cab, and walked away with only glass cuts in my scalp. The Brat was toast, as evidenced by the picture.
