I want to do this, but am afraid to get the bangs. I haven’t had bangs since I was 6. Also my hair is curly so I’t sure what it will do…

How I did it: Well,I just took the DVD case into the hairdressers and asked for Amelie's haircut! I'm not sure if I like it or not...I'm nowhere near as pretty as Audrey Tautou so I'm not sure it suits me! Also it feels really strange for my hair to be so short at the back...However I always feel this way after I've had my haircut-hopefully I'll grow to love it!

It turns out I have an oval face, but I always thought it was a bit too round for this cut. I’ve had long hair since about second grade, but now that I’ve graduated I felt very strongly that I needed to do something drastic to commermorate the transition. Amelie is my favorite movie ever and there are a few shots where her hair is absolutely stunning, so I talked to my stylist about it and she encouraged me wholeheartedly to go for it (I think when I went in I was hoping she would talk me out of it… but she didn’t so… :-D). She didn’t like the bangs, so I’ve now got the Amelie cut with very long just-about-the-brow bangs. I may yet go to the hair cuttery and get them cut to Amelie length, but who knows. I love my hair. It’s surprisingly flattering and easy to care for and I’ve found out several ways to wear it already. Be warned, though, it’s a bit of a shock at first if you’re used to having a lot of hair.

my whole entire life i’ve had super short hair and i am a hair cutting addict. I haven’t cut my hair in seven months, which is probably the longest i’ve ever gone without cutting it ever since i was little. but it’s also very awkward and i want amelie hair now! I’ve always wanted that hairstyle but i’m wondering if it will put me back in my goal to grow my hair really long. but dood, i got like a fuckin mullet now. My twin sister has reallly long hair which of course, makes her “the hot one” and i always feel like really bummy. nothing ever works out for me. i feel goofy kinda talking about my hair, but i was amazed to see other people with the same goal.

Just now, I got bored of waiting for the hair dresser and my boyfriend is out so I thougt, heck, why not? And did it with the kitchen scissors.
Bit messy, and I only have a dadgy photo of it because my house is very dark for some reason, but its not bad for self attempt.
