sierrakI Think I am Done with this!

I Believe that I have found all the yarn that I had squirreled away and have taken pictures of it and made note of where it is stored on my Ravelry account. The “stash” feature is one of the best things on ravelry. When I want to start something new, now I can look over everything that I have and see if I have something I want to use for the project.

Unlike some others who I’ve read about, I don’t have my entire yarn stash all store in one nifty spot. I especially like the photos I’ve seen some people take which shows all their yarn neatly stored in plastic bags or tubs in a closet or something like that. In my case, my yarn is stored on a couple partial shelves in my linen closet and in an unused small dresser in my daughter’s old room. What counts is knowing what I have and where it is located! (Besides, my hubby might faint if I put it all in one spot! Although once I tabulated it, I discovered to my surprised pleasure that it wasn’t anywhere near as much as I feared !! yay)

sierrakHelpful Ideas

I found a really helpful article about organizing the stash here: http://knitty.com/ISSUEspring05/FEATwhatsinstore.html.

This article is great because it offers a host of ideas, without specifically trying to sell me any products.

I thought I’d post the link here for others with a similar goal. 6 years ago
