In January 2008, I was in NY for a long weekend. Walked the 6 blocks from my hotel and got there in plenty of time to be part of the crowd. It was fun..but, I admit, a bit cold. Ann Curry is the “sweetest” woman! She actually came out to the crowd several times to chat and thank us for being there. She took pics, gave out hugs and was just a generally nice person. It was a fun thing to do and I honestly would do it again.
But if you want indoor comfort, head on down to the GMA show taping (be there early). They actually let an audience inside to participate in the taping of the show. I watched the show outside and it looked pretty cool. Diane Sawyer actually stayed after the show ended, took pics and chatted with each of the participants. So think about going to that taping too..just another cool, “free” thing to do in the big apple!
